Campus Crossings Star Pass

Campus Crossings Star Pass is a local student housing complex which accommodates hundreds of students. With the housing market booming in the Tucson area and competition getting fierce it was time to update the clubhouse. The areas addressed were: reception, living room, computer lab, game room, gym, and outdoor pool area. Our vision was to transform this property from a traditional Southwest interior to a youthful modern environment of lively color, bold pattern, alluring lighting and comfortable – party proof furniture. A modern color palette of white, various shades gray, and smokey blues was accented with punches of teal, orange and green and served as the foundation for the design. To get the maximum visual effect within the allotted budget we used creative paint techniques, interesting textures in tile and wall paper to highlight the architecture of the building. The thought process was extensive when it came to implement the lighting design and create focal features and accent the interior. In the computer Lab, LED lighting was placed in a dropped ceiling that serves as the architectural centerpiece. Individual pendants hang over each wall- mounted computer station to define individual work space. Enormous starburst chandeliers in the entry serve as a focal feature and a bit of whimsy, along with lit lifestyle images through to highlight the essence of student living.
